The Transalp's second year brought no recorded technical changes: the 583 cc 52-degree V-twin, twin 32 mm Keihin CV carburettors, 41 mm forks, Pro-Link rear and disc/drum brakes all carried over. It stayed a comfortable all-rounder with good weather protection, more at home on long road trips and gravel than on technical trails.
