The XR 125L arrived in 2003 as the replacement for the XLR 125 in Western Europe and other markets, using the air-cooled CG125-family (JC30E) single in a tall, dirt-styled chassis. It paired a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel with a front disc, monoshock rear and electric start, making it a light dual-sport for learners and commuters. Its modest 11 hp suits town riding and gentle trails rather than open-road cruising.
