The 2006 - 2008 XR 125L carried on the formula of the original: a simple air-cooled 124 cc single, five-speed gearbox, electric start and a front disc in a lightweight steel semi-double-cradle frame. Figures barely changed from the launch model, so it remained a cheap, frugal learner and commuter bike with enough suspension travel for dirt roads.
