This later run of the XR 125L kept the established air-cooled 124 cc single, five-speed gearbox and disc/drum brake set-up, with the bike increasingly built in China and sold as a budget learner machine. It is light and easy to ride with a relatively tall seat that suits taller beginners, but its performance is modest on open roads and hills.
