The 1991-1992 XR200R kept the 195 cc air-cooled two-valve single, six-speed gearbox and drum brakes of the earlier bikes. According to the motorcyclespecs write-up, this is where Honda began simplifying the suspension, with less adjustment and travel than before, making the bike softer and better suited to lighter or less aggressive riders. Wikipedia's XR series article singles out the 1991 model as the strongest performer of the line.
