The XR 250 Motard was a supermoto take on Honda's air-cooled XR250 trail bike, built for the Japanese market from spring 2003. Honda swapped the knobby off-road wheels for 17-inch rims with road tyres front and rear, giving a light, nimble street bike for city riding and twisty roads. The engine, an electric-start four-valve single with dry-sump lubrication, came straight from the trail model. A multi-reflector headlight arrived in 2004.
