Honda file

The XR650R arrived for 2000 as a purpose-built desert and enduro racer, pairing a new liquid-cooled 649 cc single with an aluminium frame and long-travel Kayaba suspension. It ran alongside the older air-cooled XR600R rather than replacing it outright. It is kick-start only, heavy by motocross standards, and aimed at fast open terrain, Baja-style racing and long endurance events.
