The GT 650S is the half-faired, upright-riding version of Hyosung's carburetted 650 V-twin, sharing its engine with the GT650R and the GV650 cruiser. Testers saw a strong resemblance to Suzuki's SV650 and noted a smooth, eager motor with tall gearing and good suspension, but soft front brakes and hard-to-read instruments. Its main selling point was a price below the Suzuki.
