The Chief Classic was the traditionally styled entry in Indian's Polaris-era Chief range, with deep valanced fenders and the lit war-bonnet fender ornament. It carries the Thunder Stroke 111 V-twin in a cast aluminium frame and uses a belt drive. In 2017 it sat beside the Chief Vintage and the newer blacked-out Dark Horse.
