The GPZ 305, a 306 cc air-cooled SOHC parallel twin that Kawasaki sold as a sports machine in its air-cooled range. It was developed from the ER250 and took a Kevlar belt final drive in place of chain. Cycle World named it best Under 460 cc Street motorcycle in its 1983 Ten Best Bikes list, praising its handling, though it was short on low-rpm power.
