The 1973 H2A was a revised 748 cc two-stroke triple with the same engine and a longer rear swingarm. A 1974 Cycle road test says the update was quieter and more stable than the original, although slow-speed cornering still felt uncertain. Hard-to-use kick starting and a fuel tank with roughly 100 miles of range were noted drawbacks.
