An early KLX250 single with a 246 cc air-cooled overhead-cam engine, carburettor fuelling and a kick starter. The chassis uses a chromemoly full-cradle frame, air-assisted front fork and dual rear shocks, with drum brakes at both ends. It was built as an off-road-oriented machine, with tall ground clearance and a long wheelbase.
