The 1973 - 74 S2 350SS MKII continues the three-cylinder two-stroke 350 that came from Kawasaki's 500 H1 and raced in the Coupe Kawasaki series. It kept the same 346 cc engine and drum-braked chassis as the 1971 - 72 bike. A road tester praised its handling, brakes, gearbox and comfort, while noting that its small displacement limited long-distance touring.
