The 2013 Versys 1000 is the second model year of Kawasaki's large Versys, a road-focused adventure-style bike with a Z1000-based four-cylinder engine. A reviewer of the time judged it a comfortable, agile machine with good two-up usability, though the front suspension was criticised for a bouncy, poorly damped feel over rough surfaces. Its main appeal was its engine character and touring practicality rather than off-road ability.
