The 2009 Vulcan 1700 Classic was a new 1700 cc SOHC V-twin cruiser with a six-speed gearbox, belt final drive and an electronic throttle. Its steel single-tube backbone frame and ABS brakes set it apart from the 1600 range. It is a boulevard-style cruiser in the classic American mould.
