Kawasaki's first cruiser and first V-twin, launched in 1985 for the US market as the Vulcan 700. It was built with a shaft drive and an upright riding position, and used the 699 cc engine before the tariff change that led to the 750 cc version. It was an early step into the cruiser market for the company.
