The Z200 (KZ200) is a light, narrow single-cylinder machine with a 198 cc overhead-cam engine, positioned as an easy first motorcycle. This 1976-1977 version has a kick starter, telescopic forks, dual rear shocks and a 5-speed gearbox. Kawasaki later sold the KZ200 in the US only in 1978 and 1979, and a planned 250 cc version was dropped after Indonesian rules capped public motorcycles at 200 cc.
