The LTD was the luxury-leaning version of the Z400 twin, built on the same 398 cc engine with dual rear shocks and a single front disc. Its tubular double-cradle frame and telescopic forks made it a more comfortable tourer than the basic Z400. It is a sibling of the later LTD-II and belt-drive versions.
