The 2014 Z800 was a close update of the 2013 model, with a revised seat and the same 806 cc engine and chassis. Its final drive was shortened for stronger acceleration, and it kept the tubular backbone frame, 41 mm inverted fork, piggyback-reservoir rear shock and 310 mm front discs with 4-piston calipers. Kawasaki described it as suited to both highway trips and urban riding, with a digital instrument panel and optional ABS.
