The Z 800 Performance Edition is the Z 800 dressed up with Kawasaki genuine accessories rather than new mechanical parts. The package includes a colour-coded pillion seat cover, tank pad, windscreen and a choice of carbon or titanium Akrapovic exhaust muffler. It also has connected header pipes intended to help mid-range power and an adjustable inverted front fork. Three colour schemes were offered.
