The ZG 1000 Concours (GTR1000 in Europe) was a 997 cc liquid-cooled sport-tourer with six-speed gearbox, shaft drive and full fairing, introduced in 1986. It was built around the Ninja 1000 engine and was aimed at long-distance riders. The design changed little through the early 1990s.
