The late-2002 revision of the Ninja 600, enlarged to 636 cc with a 68 mm bore and a 12.8:1 compression ratio for about 118 hp. It had a new aluminium twin-spar frame, 46 mm cartridge forks and a Bottom-Link Uni-Trak rear end. Carburettors were still fitted on this first 636 cc model before the fuel-injected 2003 bike.
