The 2007 ZX-6R moved to a 599 cc inline four with a new engine, shedding the 636 cc bike's size in favour of a track-oriented package. It kept the pressed-aluminium perimeter frame and added a slipper clutch and fully adjustable suspension. The result was a compact, race-style supersport middleweight.
