A limited-production, street-legal 599 cc ZX-6RR built for the displacement-restricted racing classes. Compared with the 636 cc ZX-6R it had a shorter-stroke, higher-compression engine producing about 118 hp at 13,200 rpm. It also had radially mounted 280 mm front brakes, an inverted fork, a built-in lap timer and a 25 mm hollow front axle.
