The factory 450 Rally that KTM ran at the 2014 Dakar, ridden by Marc Coma, Francisco Lopez and Ruben Faria. KTM described it as a completely new machine built around a new engine, with the goal of a lighter, slimmer and better-handling bike than its predecessor. The design leaned towards a motocross-style feel compared with the bulkier 2013 model.
