A 2004 prototype that added a front-wheel-drive system to the 525 EXC off-road bike, developed with Ohlins and tested for traction in sand, mud and wet conditions. The drive used a mechanical-hydraulic system with a preset torque split between the front and rear wheels, and KTM was still evaluating it before deciding on any limited production.
