The 2021 SMC R moved to a chrome-moly tubular space frame with WP APEX suspension and a lithium-ion battery, and was Euro 5 compliant. It kept the 692.7 cc single with fly-by-wire throttle, and it added two-channel Bosch 9.1 MP ABS with a disengageable supermoto mode.
