The 2007 standard 990 Super Duke, after the first year of changes. The page's road test says it became far more rider-friendly, with smoother throttle response, firmer suspension and a larger 18.5-litre tank. Its stable, precise handling suited twisty roads and track days. The main complaint was the lack of wind protection at speed.
