The 2008 990 Supermoto R is the sportier version of KTM's 999 cc supermoto, using the LC8 V-twin from the Super Duke R with fully adjustable suspension and stronger brakes. Its orange trellis-style frame and larger tank separate it from the standard bike. It was aimed at spirited street riding rather than touring.
