KTM's first full superbike, launched in 2008 on a new 75 degree V-twin derived from the LC8 engine family. It used a light steel trellis frame, an under-engine exhaust and a premium fully adjustable suspension and brake set. Reviewers praised its composed, easy handling and distinctive looks, while noting vibration through the footpegs, a slightly clunky gearbox and rough low-rpm fuelling in town.
