The 500 Sport was Morini's answer to complaints that the earlier 3 1/2 handled well but lacked power. It used the 478 cc Heron-head air-cooled V-twin with belt-driven camshaft, known for strong low-down torque and economy, in a sporty roadster chassis with triple disc brakes.
