MV Agusta was founded in 1945 by Count Domenico Agusta, whose family aircraft company in northern Italy turned to motorcycles after the war, and its first bike was a 98 cc two-stroke. Through the 1950s, 60s and 70s the factory dominated Grand Prix racing, with riders such as John Surtees, Mike Hailwood and Giacomo Agostini winning world titles on its fours and triples. The road bikes of that era, from the small Turismo singles to the 750 S, were built in small numbers. After a long gap the name returned in the late 1990s with the Massimo Tamburini designed F4, followed by the Brutale, Dragster, F3, Turismo Veloce and Superveloce ranges that fill the rest of this list.
