The 1000S Corona was a late-1970s evolution of the Gallarate air-cooled four, enlarged to 954 cc from the earlier 750 and 861 cc engines. It kept the racing-derived double-cradle chassis and the dual 280 mm front discs but took on bigger power and weight, aimed at fast road riding. It sits among the last four-cylinder roadsters built by MV Agusta before the firm left motorcycles.
