The Checca replaced the Ottantatrè while keeping its 83 cc displacement, but was a considerably more modern machine. Its engine drew on the 125 Centomila design, and it moved to a new open double-cradle tubular frame. It was cheap to buy and run and sold reasonably well, with roughly 978 built.
