The Serie Oro was the limited first-run F4, built in 300 numbered units and pre-sold. Designed by Massimo Tamburini, it used magnesium swingarm pivot plates, frame plates and wheels in gold anodising, with carbon fibre bodywork, in place of the aluminium and plastic of the later F4 S. It marked the return of MV Agusta road bikes.
