The Atlas was Norton's big 750 twin, an enlarged Dominator engine in the Featherbed frame, first aimed at the American market with high bars and a small tank. It was powerful but vibrated at high revs, which led Norton to develop the isolated-engine Commando that replaced it in 1968.
