A race-prepared Commando built in small numbers (an estimated 100 to 200) by Norton's race shop for production-class racing, painted bright yellow. With tuned engine, close-ratio gearbox and lighter parts it dominated its class in Britain and Europe from 1971 until newer rivals such as the Kawasaki Z1 arrived. Peter Williams took a 750 Production TT lap record on one at the 1971 Isle of Man.
