The 1972 Roadster continued the low-exhaust Commando formula, praised in period tests for handling and for very low vibration thanks to its Isolastic mounts. A road test recorded a quarter mile in 12.92 seconds. Criticisms included kick-only starting, noise and a high, narrow seat.
