The 2017-18 XT was the spoked-wheel version of the restyled V-Strom 650. It had wire-spoked wheels with tubeless tyres, hand guards and an engine cowl, and it could take the same three-piece luggage system as the base model. The engine gave the same 69 hp class output with revised camshafts and pistons, plus traction control with a switch-off mode.
