The GS750 was the machine that brought Suzuki back to four-stroke motorcycles after years of building mostly two-strokes, arriving in late 1976 alongside the smaller GS550 and GS400. It was an air-cooled, double-overhead-cam, two-valve four in a tubular double-cradle frame, with a single front disc and wire wheels at first; a second front disc was added for 1977. Reviewers praised its performance, handling and reliability, while finding the styling plain and the single front brake the weak spot.
