The half-faired 650S arrived in 2005 as a bigger, lighter successor to the old 600 Bandit, with the air/oil-cooled four stretched by 56 cc for stronger low and mid-range pull. It added adjustable seat and bar positions, a reshaped tank and exhaust, a halogen headlight and an LCD instrument panel. The result was an easy, versatile road bike aimed at commuting and relaxed touring.
