The 1980 GS/GSX1100E was Suzuki's big air-cooled four, notable for its 16-valve TSCC (twin swirl combustion chamber) head, designed to take on Honda's CBX. It is a heavy, stable and extremely durable machine with a five-speed box and a duplex cradle frame, and became a favourite with drag racers. Power was kept near 100 hp.
