The LT was the touring-equipped variant of the GSX1100L, sharing its 1074 cc air-cooled 16-valve four and chassis figures. It was aimed at long-distance riding with a heavy, stable build and a five-speed chain-drive gearbox. Compared with the plain L it was the more road-going, comfort-oriented take on the same bike.
