The 2004 update of the GSX1400 was mostly under the skin: the twin silencers gave way to a single 4-2-1 stainless exhaust that saved about 3 kg, fuel injection was retuned for better low-speed response, a coded immobiliser-style key was added and the cylinder bores were coated with Suzuki's SCEM plating. Looks and handling were otherwise unchanged.
