The GSX750S3 (Mark III, also called GSX750SE) was effectively a new Katana with a 16-valve air/oil-cooled engine derived from the GSX750E, Full Floater rear suspension, a pop-up headlight and a restyled all-black fairing. It lost around 16 kg, gained a lower seat and higher bars for a more upright position, and handled far better than the earlier GSX750 Katanas. Testers felt it looked like the future.
