The 1992 GSX-R400R SPII was the race-oriented variant of the second-generation 400, styled like the larger GSX-R750. A magazine review praises its handling once the rear suspension is set up but notes it needs revs and has uncomfortable, high footpegs; unrestricted bikes are said to make about 60 bhp.
