The Gladius was Suzuki's 2009 replacement for the SV650 naked, with a fuel-injected 645 cc V-twin tuned for low and mid-range torque and a low 785 mm seat. Suzuki used a steel trellis frame rather than aluminium to keep the price down, at the cost of some weight, and it was aimed at newer riders.
