The TL1000R was Suzuki's second V-twin superbike, taking the TL1000S engine into a track-focused supersport chassis with forged pistons, stronger rods and a stiffer aluminium frame. A wide ram-air fairing, a tail fin, a steering damper as standard and six-piston front calipers set it apart from the TL-S. Reviewers praised its pull, brakes and high-speed stability, but found it heavy with a narrow power band and some injection hunting at low speed.
