The Touring is the long-distance cruiser version of the 2.3-litre Rocket III, with a quick-release screen, footboards, a dual-density rider seat and colour-matched hard panniers. It is tuned for low-rev pull rather than top-end power and runs a more conventional 180-section rear tyre. Handling is calm and stable rather than sporting. For 2013 Triumph added standard chrome engine bars, a quick-release sissy bar with backrest, a quick-release luggage rack, and new colours with hand-painted coach lines.
