The Sprint 900 was a half-faired development of the naked Trident, built by the new Hinckley company. It borrowed the dual-rate fork springs and adjustable rear damping from the Trophy. The three-cylinder engine with balance shaft is flexible and smooth, and the bike was seen as a relaxed, versatile sport-tourer.
